A trust fund has been established to help Gavin and his family. The "Gavin Foster Trust" was formally
established on March 26, 2003. The trust papers were drawn up by an attorney, and the trust is registered with the IRS. The
purpose of the trust is to assist Gavin with his medical care, continuing health care needs, and other financial needs of
the family associated with Gavin's illness. While the family has a good health plan -- Gavin is being treated through Eastside
Group Health in Redmond, Washington, there are many associated expenses such as co-pays, deductibles, missed days from work,
medical supplies, travel expenses to and from the hospital, etc.
A significant portion of the funds in the trust were donated by co-workers at Andy's workplace (Hinshaw's
Autobody) and affiliated companies. These donations by Hinshaw's employees were then matched by the company. Friends and family
