Papa Keith got to sit on Santa's lap! Then Gavin had his preschool program- Andy was a shepherd, Madison passed out
programs, I read the Christmas Story, and Gavin did an awesome job singing his little heart out! Then we made it through the
storms up here and we didn't even lose power!!!!! This weekend we went to the Cougar Mountain Zoo and the Santa Train.
Then today we had our annual cookie decorating party. Whew!!! Now it's time to finish getting ready for Christmas- Merry
Christmas to all of you!

News Update November 27, 2006:
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We did! I got to attend Gavin's preschool
Thanksgiving party. It was fun! He is with our neighbor and his best friend Anson in one of the pictures.
We had Thanksgiving at our house. We followed the tradition that my dad started several
years ago of making gingerbread houses after dinner. The kids look forward to that so much. We had our neighbors
over this Thanksgiving with the family which made it extra special!
I missed my Grandma a lot at Thanksgiving and hope to have her be able to go out by Christmas.
This was my first Thanksgiving without her in the kitchen helping me and imparting her endless wisdom. But, amazingly, I got
through making dinner with the help of many that were there. And it was really good!
It is snowing here right now. I had to go to school late today because they closed our
hill this morning as it was a sheet of ice! I wonder what will happen tomorrow!?
Take care!
Allison

News Update November 12, 2006:
Madison was in Auburn's Veteran's Day parade this weekend. She is a "little sister" to
the Miss Auburn contestants that go on to Miss Washington and then Miss America. Her role is to support her "big sister"
and she gets to participate in parades and be in the pageant in January. This was all her idea as the school sent home
an invitation for third grade girls to participate, and she really wanted to do it! She was great in the parade. It
was almost a three hour parade! If you can't find her on the "float", she has a white hat on. It was really cold,
but it didn't rain!

News Update November 5, 2006:
Here is a picture of the kids at Halloween. We had a great time even though it was very
cold! Gavin ran full speed from house to house for the couple of hours we were trick-or-treating. He loved trick-or-treating,
and he is already wondering when Christmas is!

News Update October 21, 2006:
Gavin had his 6-month oncology check back appointment today. His blood counts are great-
(his white counts are finally completely normal since chemo) and he looks great! We don't have to go back for another
year!
We have been having fun this fall. Gavin is in pre-school and Madison is in 3rd grade.
Gavin is going to be Spongebob for Halloween! I will post some pictures after Halloween.
Please pray for our friends who have a three-year-old. They just found out that his brain
cancer is back. His mom used to be a teacher at my school. Please pray that baby Michael can get through the risky treatment
options and that it cures his cancer.
Thank you!
-Allison
News Update April 22, 2006:
Sorry it has been so long between updates! We had an amazing trip to Disneyland in late
March! We went with Grandmom Dorothy and Papa Keith. We had so much fun. It was by far the best Disneyland
trip yet as the kids were older and we had fun from morning to night every day!
Gavin turned 4 on April 13th. He had a Spongebob party with lots of kids at our house.
It was really great as we turned the house into Bikini Bottom (where Spongebob lives for those who don't know!) On his actual
birthday we went to Chuck E. Cheese and partied some more. He had a great time and his good friend Anson (our neighbor
who Gavin goes to pre-school with) came with us.
Easter was also much fun. Great -Grandma came down to join the festivities. The kids adore
her and Gavin specifically asked for her to come to his birthday party. Cousin Taryn turned 15 and we partied even more to
celebrate her birthday!
So, we have been having lots of FUN! Gavin had a check back oncology appointment the day
before his birthday. It went great and his oncologist says things seem good. We don't go back until October for
another check back. If everything looks good then no more scans!

News Update January 12, 2006:
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I wanted to put up some pictures of our holiday.
Madison had her first piano recital. She did a wonderful job and was very brave as she was one of 30 people playing!
We went on the Santa Train in North Bend. Gavin LOVED it (he is still obsessed with trains) and we a had a great time.
Gavin was in a Christmas program for his pre-school. Andy started school last week and he seems to be doing good.
He is struggling a little with his computer classes, but I am sure he will be way over my head with computer knowledge soon.
I hope everyone had a great holiday!
Take care,
Allison
